WBT Sustainability Policy
It is our policy to conduct business in a way that creates value by pursuing responsible environmental, social, and economic strategies, the three pillars of sustainability.
West Bend Transit is continually improving throughout our business operations to lessen our impact on the local and global environment by conserving energy, reducing air pollution, and supporting organizations who support the wellbeing of our planet’s natural resources.
Transportation companies have a responsibility to operate in an environmentally sustainable manner. The steps we take are all very similar as we can only change what we can control. For example, WBT and other likeminded carriers focus on improving our most controllable metrics such as idle time, empty miles, and fuel efficiency, all to reduce air pollution and energy consumption. WBT puts great focus on these metrics, but also feels sustainability is much larger than just air pollution and energy consumption. As a result, WBT chooses to support organizations who focus on improving our environment.
Environmental Sustainability
There are many great organizations out there, but we choose to support organizations specific to the transportation industry and the industry of the clients we work for. These organizations include:

We are doing this by managing risk, embracing innovation and technology, optimizing operational efficiency, and improving profitability.
Economic Sustainability
West Bend Transit chooses processes and practices that create a sustainable successful company promoting wellbeing, by understanding what people need from our company, and the places they live.
We do this by embracing diversity and human rights, performing community outreach, providing a safe workplace, and treating others with kindness and respect. In addition, we feel it is our responsibility to make positive changes outside of our company for the betterment of the community and society. We do this thru our volunteer efforts and by supporting organizations that influence positive change in the world.
